Decade Of Road Safety

Jakarta, 14 Maret – Road Safety Association (RSA) Indonesia, menghadiri pertemuan global Second Global Meeting of NonGovernmental Organizations Advocating for Road Safety and Road Victims di Pan American Health Organization Headquarters Washington DC, USA, 14-15 Maret 2011. Pertemuan yang digelar oleh World Health Organization (WHO) tersebut membahas pengalaman dan pengetahuan dalam memberikan advokasi di bidang keselamatan jalan dan korban laka lantas.

Selain itu, dalam pertemuan tersebut juga akan membentuk sebuah aliansi global seluruh lembaga swadaya masyarakat (LSM) di bidang keselamatan jalan dan korban laka lantas serta bagaimana berkolaborasi dengan media. Pertemuan global tersebut juga membahas upaya mendukung dan memfasilitasi LSM di setiap negara untuk berkontribusi dalam peluncuran kampanye keselamatan jalan yakni Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011 – 2020.

Hadir dalam pertemuan tersebut adalah para lembaga swadaya masyarakat (LSM) dari berbagai negara di dunia. Beberapa perwakilan dari negara-negara lain hadir dalam acara ini antara lain Inggris, Amerika Serikat, Trinidad & Tobago, Philipina, Ukraina, Oman, Yunani, Cina, Kolombia, Brazil, Libanon, Mexico, Argentina, Belgia, Tanzania, Belanda, Turki, Afrika Selatan, Polandia, Canada, Uruguay, Paraguay, India, Irlandia, Italia. Ekuador, El Salvador, Luxemburg, Kamerun, Kenya, Costarica, Jepang, Spanyol, Nigeria, Swiss. Senegal, Venezuela, Israel, Mesir, Thailand, Slovenia, dan Indonesia.

RSA Indonesia yang diundang oleh WHO, mengutus ketua umum-nya, yakni Rio Octaviano untuk menyampaikan apa yang sudah dilakukan, sedang, dan akan dilakukan oleh LSM dalam upaya penyebarluasan keselamatan jalan di Indonesia. (*)

RSA Indonesia Join the Global Road Safety Conferences

Jakarta, March 14 – Road Safety Association (RSA), Indonesia, attended a global meeting of the Second Global Meeting of NonGovernmental Organizations Advocating for Road Safety and Road Victims in the Pan American Health Organization Headquarters in Washington DC, USA, 14-15 March 2011. The meeting that was held by the World Health Organization (WHO) discussed the experience and knowledge in providing advocacy in the field of road safety and the victim then lacquer.

In addition, the meeting will also form a global alliance of all nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in the field of road safety and victims of lacquer and then how to collaborate with the media. Global meeting also discussed efforts to support and facilitate the NGOs in each country to contribute to road safety campaign launch of the Decade of Action for Road Safety from 2011 to 2020.

Attending the meeting were the nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) from various countries around the world. Several representatives from other countries present at the event include the UK, USA, Trinidad & Tobago, Philippines, Ukraine, Oman, Greece, China, Colombia, Brazil, Lebanon, Mexico, Argentina, Belgium, Tanzania, the Netherlands, Turkey, South Africa, Poland, Canada, Uruguay, Paraguay, India, Ireland, Italy. Ecuador, El Salvador, Luxembourg, Cameroon, Kenya, Costarica, Japan, Spain, Nigeria, Switzerland. Senegal, Venezuela, Israel, Egypt, Thailand, Slovenia and Indonesia.

RSA Indonesia who was invited by WHO, has sent his chief general, the Rio Octaviano to convey what has been done, medium, and will be done by NGOs in an effort to disseminate road safety in Indonesia. (*)
